Who is X-Genesis Space Corporation?

We’re a highly specialized group of scientists, engineers, and visionaries who are creating a synergistic team comprised of organizations, corporations, and individuals to develop the technologies and strategies for long term off-world settlement.

In short, we’re the guys who are settling Mars.

Why Mars?

To truly understand the nature of this question is to first understand human nature. Mars, simply, is a dusty, red planet with no breathable atmosphere, wildly varying temperatures, and a lot of rocks. Why would anyone want to visit this hostile wasteland? Because we’re explorers. Because we haven’t been there yet. Because of the unknown opportunities which await our arrival. Because it holds the key to humanity’s survival to the end of the universe. There are literally a million plus reasons to go and every single one is a purely human reason. So to answer the question: Why Mars? You only need be human to know the answer.

When will X-Genesis go to Mars?

By our estimates we’re looking at twenty to thirty years. Developing technology for a lengthy stay on another planet takes years of R&D.

How will X-Genesis get to Mars?

Our efforts are focused on the actual settlement of Mars rather than the building of vehicles. Launch vehicles and related technologies are rapidly cheapening in price with the private space race and we aren’t concerned with building rockets and such. When the time comes we will buy, partner with companies, or license the technology of those vehicles to get us there. Right now we research and develop the ‘how’ of settling- that being all related technologies used to make a long term human presence on Mars feasible.

Are you affiliated with NASA?

Nope. We are not affiliated in any way, shape, or form. We’re proud that we’re a 100% privately owned space company. Like the gung-ho entrepreneurs of the Old West who bootstrapped their own businesses and laid the economic foundations of America, we too share their optimism and vision for a new world filled with opportunity, both economic and humanitarian.

Is settling Mars even possible?

You bet. We can and do live under the sea in naval vessels, we can and do live in the Antarctic, we even live in space. Is it too much to believe that it’s possible to live on Mars? Look our historical track record of explorers leaving the shores to sail to unknown lands (only to be told they’ll sail right off the edge of the world), live in frozen tundras of the north, and then journeying to the highest peaks of our mountains. Mars may have been out of reach for those explorers, but not for contemporary ones. Mars is waiting for us.

Settling vs. Colonizing: What’s the difference?

Dictionary.com’s definition of a ‘colony’ is: “a group of people who leave their native country to form in a new land settlement subject to, or connected with, the parent nation.” Key phrase: “subject to, or connected with, the parent nation”.

And Dictionary.com’s definition of a ’settlement’ is: “a body of people who settle far from home but maintain ties with their homeland; inhabitants remain nationals of their home state but are not literally under the home state’s system of government.” Key phrase: “not literally under the home state’s system of government”.

When we go to Mars it won’t be for any particular nation or sovereignty, although we bring with us ideas formed by ours and other nations. Given a long enough time line, as the population increases on Mars the settlers will form their own society and culture as controlled by those who live on the Red Planet, not Earth. This free’s the first settlers of taxation without representation and other forms of non-local government control and allows them to pursue whatever economic opportunities they choose, establishing the foundations of their liberty and freedom. In essence: They collectively control the fate of their society in nearly all aspects. As a consequence of this freedom, their society will attract opportunists from Earth and make relatively fast economic progress. Families will come to live on Mars because of the jobs created and unknown opportunities, new and as-of-yet unknown technologies will emerge, and a brand new chapter of civilization begins on a new planet.

This isn’t speculation. Settling has happened utilizing this method in every human society. And now we’re preparing to do it again . . . this time on Mars. X-Genesis is working hard to make this a reality.
